"Music has always been my one true passion. I can recall many hours sitting alone in my room practicing the guitar, hours of joy and definitely a lot of frustrations at times! In the end though they are some of the fondest memories of my childhood. Music has always been my life's passion, whether I am playing live with a band or playing alone in my room it always lights me up like nothing else. These are all qualities I try to instill into my students, to encourage them to enjoy the learning process and congratulate themselves by reaping the rewards of their hard practice. I believe keeping lessons fun, progressive and motivating is the key to success. "

Ever since I was a kid, I absolutely loved music; seeing all these guys on TV each weekend inspired me to take up playing. I started small with jamming to rock and metal artists for so many years, I was always known as the heavy metal kid that had fast feet; but I was hungry for more; as soon as I finished high school I studied music full time at two different schools! This helped me realize that I wanted to explore as much as I can of this amazing instrument and teach it to other people who want to learn as well; to inspire them, help them be the best drummer they can be; that's all I ever really wanted to do!

'' My name is Yasmin Arkinstall and I joyfully teach voice and piano at Griffiths music, I'm 23 and my folks started me on singing lessons when I was 5 and piano lessons when I was 9 to help reduce my crippling anxiety growing up. I'm up to Grade 6 in AMEB piano and for my main instrument (voice), I got my Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Operatic singing has inspired me to use concepts of classical vocal technique and apply them to more popular styles, encouraging students to sing with a healthy foundation and diminished strain/effort. I'm humbled to have performed as a vocal soloist at venues like The Con, The Opera House, The Opera Centre and the City Recital Hall. Music has given me an outlet for self expression and letting my hair down. It's allowed me to step into other characters' stories and be swept up in story-telling and imagination. I think music is the greatest thing on the planet and I'm so thankful for what it has done for me. ❤ ''🎼

"What sparked my interest in music was performing in a band in high school and learning how to write and produce my own music. Being able to play the piano gave me that foundation to work from. Over the last 6 years I've focused on writing and producing music. I managed to work my way up to having paid clients for both original music and film composition. I've written and produced my own songs and an EP in 2016. I worked with a small record label in 2017. I was also a DJ for 5 years, working my way from private functions to playing at venues. My current goal is to play more live performances because I really enjoy singing and playing either the guitar or piano."
